Monday- Friday 8am-5pm AIDS Arms, Inc. is an approved primary entry poi nt to the HIV continuum of care. It provides case management, outpatient medical care, medicati on assistance for eligible individuals, referral to mental health and substance abuse treatment, and assistance with improving access to medical care, treatment, and support services. It also provides HIV testing, counseling, and education regarding risk reduction and prevention. AIDS Arms, Inc. works with community organizations throughout North Texas to refer clients and facilitate linkage to care, dental services, housing, transportation, food, psycho-social counseling, substance abuse treatment, health insurance assistance, disability and financ ial assistance, government benefits, financial and legal planning,and caregiver support. Staff is trained and able to work with a diverse population and those with specific needs. Interpreters are available for Spanish and some African languages. Case management services are available at locations in Oak Cliff, South Dallas, and Central Dallas. Home visits may be possible in very limited circumstances. HIV testing and prevention services and education may be made available for large groups on request at different sites in the metroplex. The HIV testing and risk reduction counseling, support groups, and case management services are free of charge to the community.

All HIV clinic locations perform Medical Case Management and Community Case Management services, including new patient intake. Fees for all sites are set after financial screening according to Ryan White CARE Act federal legislation. Confidential HIV testing offered at the Community Oriented Primary Care (COPC) Health Centers. Parkland is the provider of medical services, including HIV, in the Lou Sterrett County Jail and other local correctional facilities. On a referral basis, there is access to greater than 150 specialty and subspecialty clinics. All foreign languages are accommodated by interpreters or through TeleInterpreting Services Language Lines at all Parkland sites.
